All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and Engineering Council of India (ECI) have invited nominations for AICTE-ECI Chhatra Vishwakarma Awards from students of AICTE-approved degree and diploma-level technical institutions.
The Principals or Directors of all AICTE-approved institutes and polytechnics may send nominations of their students to Director (SDC), AICTE by August 25, said a spokesman of the Haryana Technical Education Department.
He said that the awards were given to recognize and honour innovative work of students displaying exceptional skills in different Engineering streams.
The awards would be given in three categories separately for degree and diploma students, including students from AICTE-approved community colleges. The first category, outstanding student engineers, includes three awards each in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics Engineering, Computer Science and Biotechnology streams or their allied branches.
The second category, outstanding teachers awards, includes three awards each in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics Engineering, Computer Science and Biotechnology streams or their allied branches. The third category, Outstanding Institutions Awards, includes three awards based on the maximum number of awards won from the other two categories and other criteria, said the spokesman.
Details regarding eligibility and other guidelines have been made available on the websites of AICTE and the Department of Haryana Technical Education, he added.
